Catastrophic inflation in Russia: prices are rising to the maximum since the beginning of the war
The zone of inflation disaster remains the grocery departments of supermarkets, where prices have soared by tens of percent and continue to grow.
Despite the attempts of the Kremlin authorities to slow down the growth of consumer prices, inflation in the aggressor state continues to accelerate. In November, monthly inflation in Russia became a record since April 2022.
This is reported by The Moscow Times with reference to Rosstat information published on Wednesday, November 27.
From November 19 to 25, the consumer price index in Russia added 0.36%, from the beginning of the month it increased by 1.15%, and from the beginning of the year – by 7.8%.
Economist of Tsentrokredit bank Yevhen Suvorov called the published figures “a real catastrophe”.
Out of a hundred goods in Rosstat's consumer basket, 74 are becoming more expensive, and if the current rate of price growth is maintained throughout the year, annual inflation, according to Suvorov, will reach 16%.
