In the presidential elections in Romania, the ultra-nationalist, pro-Russian candidate Celin Georgescu is leading. In second place is the current Prime Minister of the country Marcel Čolaku.

This is evidenced by the information on the website of the Central Election Commission of Romania.

Romanian citizens voted in the first round of the presidential election on November 24. It became known that Georgescu is in the lead, contrary to forecasts. He gets 22.86% of the votes.

Thus, the conducted opinion poll pointed to the leadership on the eve of the elections of the left-wing Prime Minister of the country, Marcel Čolaku, and the head of the opposition far-right party AUR, George Simion.
