Germany's largest defense manufacturer Rheinmetall has partnered with US software company Auterion to develop common operating standards for controlling autonomous combat drones. The agreement promises to shake up the fast-growing industry, reports the Financial Times.
It is noted that as part of the partnership, Rheinmetall will integrate its drones with software developed by Auterion to create a combined arms system.
