“Blue and Yellow” confidently dealt with Cyprus.
National futsal team of Ukraine defeated the team of Cyprus in the opening match of the qualification for the 2026 European Championship. The match ended with a score 0:7 in favor of “blue-yellow”.
Ihor Korsun, Mykola Mykytyuk and Artem Fareniuk scored doubles in our team. Daniil Abakshin scored another goal.
After this victory, the Ukrainians headed their selection group for Euro-2026. In the other match of the first round of this quartet, Romania defeated Germany 6-0.
Oleksandr Kosenko's team will play the next match in the qualification for the continental championship on Tuesday, December 17, against Romania.
The winners of the groups will go directly to the final part of Euro-2026, and the eight best teams, which will take the second places, will play for four more tickets to the continental championship.
