Many Ukrainians make mistakes when naming the signs of the zodiac. Which zodiac signs do we most often pronounce and write incorrectly, explained linguist Oleksandr Avramenko. “The zodiac is a set of 12 constellations through which the path of the apparent movement of the sun passes. I will dwell on the problematic ones.”

The linguist told which names of the three zodiac signs Ukrainians most often make mistakes in. These errors concern not only the pronunciation, but also the spelling of the names.

• In the name of such a zodiac sign as “Aries”, Ukrainians often put the wrong accent. It is correct to emphasize the letter “e” – “ovEn”, and not on the letter “o” – “Aries”. And in the genitive case, this word is pronounced “ovnA”.
