A graduate of Brazilian football, Douglas Junior Da Silva Negreiros made his debut for the Kazakhstan national team on September 15, 2015 in the Bosnian city of Zenica, in a match against the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (5:0). In his debut game he scored a double. The second goal scored against the Armenian team was the 65th goal for the Kazakhstan team.

To date, he has played 91 matches for the Kazakhstan national team and scored 65 goals. He is the best scorer in the history of the Kazakhstan national team.
