Drivers face a new fine of up to UAH 34,000 — the draft law will be considered in the Council
Fines for excessive noise can reach 17,000 UAH for the first violation and 34,000 UAH for the second.
In Ukraine, a new fine may be introduced for drivers for exceeding the permissible level of vehicle noise.
This is stated in the corresponding draft law No. 9564, which was initiated by a group of deputies of the “Servant of the People” faction headed by David Arakhamia.
The bill provides for a fine of UAH 17,000 for the first violation, and UAH 34,000 for a second violation. In case of repeated violation, it is also possible to be deprived of the right to drive for a period of 3 to 6 months.
The document was included in the agenda of the parliament, so its consideration may take place in the near future. The rationale states that the increase in noise is often due to the use of equipment that disturbs the peace of citizens and causes public dissatisfaction.
