Kyiv “Dynamo” was defeated by “Victoria” Pilsen in the match of the fifth round of the main stage of the Europa League of the 2024/25 season. Nominally the home match for the “white-blue” at the “Volksparkstadion” arena in Hamburg, Germany, ended with a score 1:2.
The first half of the meeting was goalless. At the start of the second half, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's men were very close to opening the score – Kostyantyn Vicharenko scored after Oleksandr Karavaev's pass from the right wing, but after watching the video replay (VAR), the goal was canceled due to offside.
The Czech club responded immediately. In the 55th minute, Matej Vydra accurately sent the ball low into the far corner from the semi-circle of the penalty area.
