Elden Ring news – an enthusiast recreated the game in Excel and it’s free – UNIAN

Redditor brighty360 presented an unusual version of Elden Ring – perhaps even more hardcore than the original game. It works in Microsoft Excel and is completely free. Control is carried out via WASD and Ctrl+E.

You have to explore Between-Earth, presented in the form of a 2D map, and fight a variety of monsters. Battles are turn-based, with assets borrowed from the original game from From Software. The project even has an introductory video.

The game map consists of 90,000 cells, contains more than 60 types of weapons and over 50 opponents; Three character classes and a leveling system have been implemented. While exploring Between-Earth in Excel, you can complete a number of quests, obtain over 25 sets of equipment, and reach one of four possible endings.
