German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier dissolved the Bundestag and called new parliamentary elections. Bild reports this.
The decision to dissolve parliament was made due to the fact that the government coalition in parliament de facto ceased to exist. Thus, in November, the leader of one of the coalition parties left the government, and in December, the majority of deputies voted for a vote of no confidence in the government of Olaf Scholz.
