Elections in Romania – Romania has decided on a new date for the country's presidential elections – UNIAN
The country's Constitutional Court overturned the results of the first round of elections held at the end of November.
The presidential elections in Romania will take place on March 23. The first round will take place on this day, Digi 24 reports, citing “political sources.”
It is noted that the government coalition made the corresponding decision at a Saturday meeting.
“They (Romanian presidential elections – UNIAN) will take place on March 23 (first round) and April 6 (second round),” the article notes.
According to the publication, the pro-European coalition formed by PSD-PNL-UDMR has already publicly stated that it supports Crin Antonescu as a common candidate. Other candidates include Elena Lasconi (USR), Nicusor Dan (independent), Kelin Georgescu (independent) and Daniel Funeriu (independent):
