“And once again I will outline my position and the position of all normal people!!! Elena Isinbayeva is not a traitor, but a Hero of Russian and World Sports!!! There’s something incomprehensible here…” Guberniev wrote in his Telegram channel.
In 2023, two-time Olympic pole vault champion Elena Isinbaeva moved to Spain. She called her existing military rank nominal, for which she was criticized by the Russian sports community.
