Estonian startup tests anti-aircraft missiles in Ukraine
The missiles are equipped with artificial intelligence for autonomous targeting
The Estonian company “Frankenburg Technologies” plans to start testing Mark 1 anti-aircraft missiles on the battlefield in Ukraine next year. These missiles are capable of shooting down Iranian Shahed drones at a height of up to two kilometers.
This was reported by the publication ERR.
“This technology is promising, and we will start testing it in Ukraine in the new year,” said the company's general director, Kusti Salm.
Production of the rockets will start with a few dozen units per week, and should reach hundreds per week by the third quarter of 2025. Testing of missiles should confirm their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
The company “Frankenburg Technologie” attracted attention after it was included in the list of the four most promising defense companies in Europe according to Bloomberg.
