Homeowners can breathe a sigh of relief – the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has put an end to the long-standing problem with the provision of documents on verification of individual property rights. Now it is illegal to demand confirmation of verification, which eliminates endless trips to the management company and homeowners association with papers.

Previously, the situation was inconvenient: meters, designed to save on payments, in the absence of supporting verification documents, were calculated according to the standard with an inflated coefficient, which increased payments. This caused dissatisfaction among citizens and bureaucratic delays.

Collective complaints reached the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation; the government recognized the inappropriateness of requiring verification documents, taking into account digitalization and the unified Rosstandart database.
