The other day, the Institute for the Study of War reported that Russia had captured Kurakhovo, Donetsk region. Military expert Pavel Narozhny said that the city is under threat of occupation, but it is too early to talk about its fall.

“What is the problem with Kurakhovo? The fact is that to the north of Kurakhovo there is a reservoir where the enemy destroyed the dam, and further north of this reservoir they pushed back our units quite strongly. And to the south of Kurakhovo they also pushed back from the flank [наши войска]”, he explained on Radio NV.

It is noted that it is in the south that the only road that is intended for supply to Kurakhovo lies. The enemy is very close to this path – we are talking about a few kilometers.
