Three bison born in the enclosure are soon to be released into the wild.
In the Banyliv forestry in Bukovyna, it was possible to record bison that went to the feeding ground.
This was reported in the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”.
The first was a female, named Muse, who used to live in the Mykolaiv zoo and is therefore not afraid of people. The rest of the herd slowly followed her. These animals show this behavior only in winter, and in summer it is very difficult to approach them.

The 80-hectare Baniliv Forestry Aviary is currently home to 16 bison, the largest mammals in Europe. Since 2016, work has been carried out here to breed these animals to restore the bison population in Bukovina.
