Tea lovers have received some bad news: a significant increase in the price of black tea bags is expected in the near future – by 7-10 percent.

This is due to the fact that Russia is heavily dependent on the import of tea raw materials: only 20 percent is produced domestically, the rest is imported from abroad, writes progorod33.ru.

Unstable geopolitical situation, logistics problems and unfavorable weather conditions, including drought in India, could lead to an increase in Indian tea prices by 20 percent. These factors have already contributed to an increase in the cost of imported tea.
