Fatal road accident at a roadblock in Odesa: details of the tragedy — Ukraine
As a result of running into two servicemen at the checkpoint, one of them died, the other was taken to the hospital.
A tragic event took place at a checkpoint in the Odesa region on the evening of December 2. A 66-year-old driver of a VAZ car, ignoring road signs about speed limits, ran into two soldiers of the State Border Service who were at the post.
This was reported by the GUNP of the Odesa region.
According to the police, as a result of the accident, one of the border guards died on the spot, the other was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The driver was checked for alcohol intoxication – he turned out to be sober. He was detained in procedural order.
