Fatal road accident in Sumy Oblast: a driver hit a cyclist
The man died at the scene of the accident from his injuries.
It happened in the village of Bohdanivka traffic accident. The driver hit the cyclist.
This was reported by the police of Sumy region.
As the police found out, a 75-year-old driver, driving a Volkswagen Transporter, ran over a pedestrian who was moving in the same direction. As a result of the accident, a 52-year-old man died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles”. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
