Fedor Uryupin – a Russian ship was hit in Crimea – UNIAN

The ship belonged to Ukraine, but Russia seized it during its annexation of Crimea in 2014.

In a bay near the village of Chernomorskoye in annexed Crimea, a Ukrainian drone hit a Russian ship.

According to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, citing its own sources, this happened on Monday, December 23, at about 17:00. The UAV flew into the side of the ship “Fedor Uryupin”.

“The impact occurred above the waterline, the ship did not sink, but the damage was done,” the channel notes.

What is known about the ship “Fedor Uryupin”?

The vessel “Fedor Uryupin” was built in 2010. Russia captured it from Ukraine in 2014 during its annexation of Crimea. The vessel has not been used recently, channel sources said.

The tugboat “Fedor Uryupin” according to the Marinetraffic database has a Russian flag, but the owner is the Ukrainian state joint-stock company “Chernomorneftegaz”.
