On December 11, a law on the responsible keeping of pets comes into force in Russia, reports Parlamentskaya Gazeta. The text of the document is published on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

According to the new rules, owners may be subject to administrative penalties, including warnings and financial fines, for violating the requirements for keeping pets. For individuals, the fine can reach three thousand rubles, for officials – up to 15 thousand rubles, and for organizations – up to 30 thousand rubles.
