Food prices: what is going up in stores on the eve of the New Year holidays


In Ukraine, food prices continue to rise steadily.

Food prices rose sharply in November, especially for the main categories. But December promises a small break in growth — at least for the first two weeks.

Such a forecast was made by the executive director of the Economic Discussion Club, Oleg Pendzin, in an interview for “Glavred”.

However, the lull in the food market will not last long. Already from December 15, Ukrainians should prepare for a new wave of price increases. And this time, the price will soar for popular products for the festive table.

“We expect a plateau in price growth for about two weeks in December. Later, from December 15, growth will begin again.
