Foreign drones will be shot down in Romania – World


The order to shoot down an aircraft that violates the airspace will be issued by the Supreme Defense Council of the country.

The Romanian government has adopted a draft law that expands and regulates control measures over the use of national airspace, UAVs and other aircraft.

The document defines situations in which an aircraft (with or without a pilot) uses the national airspace without authorization. These are the following actions:

  • making an unauthorized flight,
  • deviation from the previously established route,
  • interrupting the work of identification devices and flying in prohibited areas,
  • performing aerial photography without coordination with the Ministry of Defense,
  • a serious threat to the facilities of the Ministry of Defense and/or institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Transport.
