Scammers have become more active in Sumy Oblast.
Only in the last day, four people became victims of fraudsters in the Sumy region.
This was reported by the press service of the Sumy region police.
Thus, a resident of Sumy Oblast lost UAH 25,000 after paying a down payment for a car that was “sold” on a popular classifieds website.
“After the funds were transferred, the perpetrator disappeared, and the promised car was never delivered. A similar incident happened with a resident of Konotop district,” the report said.
Another victim found an ad for financial assistance on social networks. After following the link, he entered his card details on a third-party website, as a result of which money disappeared from his account.
The woman also received a call from an alleged representative of the bank, who warned her about blocking the card. Following the instructions, she lost the funds.
