Frosts down to -16°C await Kirov residents already in the first week of winter

The telegram channel “Amateur Meteorology in Kirov” told when Kirov residents can expect real frosts. The cold weather will come very soon.

According to the author of the telegram channel about the weather, night frosts will come to our region from December 5th.

Frosts will occur against the background of a powerful anticyclone and night cooling. December 7, tentatively, already down to -11…-16°C. During the day it’s about -5…-10°С.

Despite preliminary forecasts of a mild winter, actual data suggests otherwise. Winter is expected to start with bitter cold, with temperatures in some places setting new records not seen in more than a century. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, speaks about this.
