Ganna or Anna – how it sounds correctly in Ukrainian – UNIAN

The name Anna is pronounced completely differently in Ukrainian.

Many of the names that parents called their children decades ago are not Ukrainian names. They may be of Greek, Latin, Hebrew or any other origin. However, it is important to adhere to the language rules and pronunciation requirements depending on the country you live in, and to know that, for example, the name Anna sounds completely different in Ukrainian.
