The American general is sure that Russia will not comply with any agreements. Russia can only be forced.
Only the presence of the military countries of Europe, the USA, and Canada on the territory of Ukraine will be able to force Russia to abide by the peace agreements.
This opinion was expressed by the retired US lieutenant general, former commander of the US Army in Europe Ben Godges in an interview with Radio NV.
According to him, there is no reason to believe that the Russians will abide by any agreements, unless there is a very powerful force that will force them to do so.
“European soldiers, Americans and Canadians, who would be in Ukraine to ensure such agreements, can become such a force. I would honestly be very surprised if Russia agreed to this,” Godges said.
