GOG has launched the GOG Preservation program to support old games on modern computers – UNIAN
The company has already updated 100 classic titles.
In honor of GOG's 16th anniversary, the company announced the launch of the GOG Preservation program, under which the company pledges to maintain the functionality of old games on new systems.
Games included in the program will be tested by GOG specialists and, if necessary, the project will be improved and re-released.
Games that pass the review are marked “Good Old Game” in the GOG store. In total, 100 projects have already been tested in the CD Project service.
The company launched this initiative to highlight its philosophy: preserving video games. GOG strives to ensure that players have access to all projects and that games live forever.
