Gosprom in Kharkov will become the first building in the world where UNESCO special monitoring will be carried out
It will be used to record the destruction caused by the Russian army in order to send the findings to the International Criminal Court.
UNESCO has decided to urgently apply a “special monitoring” mechanism in relation to the House of State Industry in Kharkov, the building of which was damaged by Russian shelling.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, it was accepted on December 11 during a meeting of the UNESCO Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
“Members of the Committee supported the decision to organize a “special monitoring” mission to the city of Kharkov. Thus, Ukraine will become the first country where this mechanism will be applied,”…
