GUR MO – a village in Odesa region was named Ukraina in honor of the soldiers
It was renamed as part of the decolonization process.
In honor of the soldiers of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a salt point in Odesa region was named. It is about renaming the village of Pershotravneve to Gurivske.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense.
“The corresponding decision was made in order to celebrate the important contribution of the Ukrainian special services to the protection of national interests from external threats, strengthening the defense capability of our state and honoring the feats of military intelligence officers,” the message states.
Previously, the Verkhovna Rada praised the resolutions on renaming the cities of Yuzhnoukrain and Yuzhne in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions, respectively. The cities were named South Ukrainian and South.
