GUR named the main goal of Putin's army until the end of winter
The main task of Putin's army for the autumn-winter period is to reach the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The occupiers have a strategic goal – full control of the territory of Ukraine.
This was stated by the deputy head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, Ukrinform reports.
“In the winter, there will be three years of the so-called “svo”. What was the “svo” task? The “liberation” of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Yes, plans are being adjusted, but this goal has not gone anywhere. And the strategic goal is full control of the territory of Ukraine,” he said Skibitskyi.
The representative of the GUR emphasizes that the Russian troops are trying to maintain the pace of the offensive by transferring operational reserves – “regrouping from one area of hostilities to another.”
