High-profile Manhattan murder: Suspect caught 5 days after shooting

A man suspected of murdering the CEO of the largest US insurance company was arrested by the police on Monday, December 9.

“This move has put an end to a tense five-day hunt for the alleged killer,” the statement said.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was recognized by a customer and an employee of the McDonald's diner, where Mangione went to have lunch. Police officials said at a news conference that when two officers approached the suspect at McDonald's and asked if he had been to New York recently, he began to shake and fell silent.
