The new holiday calendar for 2025 will help you remember the dates of the most important church events, fasts and memorial days.
There is in the Orthodox calendar 12 twelfth holidays, which according to their content are divided into Lord's and Virgin's. The first glorify Jesus Christ, and the second – the Virgin Mary. Three of them are transitional — that is, their date changes every year and depends on the celebration of Easter. The other nine are intransitive — their date does not change. After the transition to the New Julian calendar on September 1, 2023, the date of non-transitional holidays changed (they are celebrated 13 days earlier).
