How exercise affects your IQ – Health

Endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova spoke on her Telegram channel about the relationship between sports and intelligence level, Sports.kz reports.

“The relationship between physical exercise and intelligence level in children and adolescents was studied. A total of 14 studies were analyzed. Different types of physical activity and different types of intelligence were taken into account: mobile (logic without reliance on experience) and crystallized (accumulated skills and knowledge).

Regardless of the age of the study participants, their initial physical shape and IQ, sports had a positive effect on brain activity. Children improved their test scores by an average of four points. Typically this figure is achieved in an additional year of study.
