Ukrainian forces have already managed to hold out in the Kursk region longer than was predicted at the beginning of the operation.

Ukrainian troops have lost about half of the territory captured in Russia's Kursk region, and may lose the rest in a few months. This potentially deprives Kyiv of important leverage in the ceasefire negotiations with Russia.

Bloomberg writes about this with reference to reports from American officials, without naming them.

The publication noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already facing a shortage of personnel and uncertainty regarding future supplies from the United States and other allies. Meanwhile, approximately 12,000 North Korean troops, who are reinforcing the Russians, are opposing Ukrainian troops in Kursk.
