Experts have finally been able to determine the life expectancy of whales.
Some of the whales are not only the largest animals that have ever lived on the planet, but also have exceptional longevity.
A new study has found that southern right whales have secretly been members of the centenarian club from the very beginning and can live to be 130 years or more, writes Iflscience. To determine this, a multidisciplinary team of researchers examined photographic data over the past 40 years that had been collected by tracking programs for individual right and north Atlantic right whales.
