During the month of work, the recruiting center of the Ukrainian Legion in Poland received more than 500 applications from citizens of Ukraine living in 30 countries of the world. The first volunteers will sign contracts with the Armed Forces by the end of 2024.
The recruiting center told the correspondent of “Ukrinform” about it.
Volunteers will be able to sign a contract for either three years or until the end of the war. After signing the documents, they will be sent to one of the training grounds in Poland, where they will undergo training.
It is noted that the most applications were sent by Ukrainians living in Poland and the Czech Republic. There are also volunteers from Great Britain, Ireland, Canada and the USA. The center received 90% of applications from men, and 10% from women. About half of the applications belong to young people under the age of 25, the rest – to older people.
