How many tanks does Russia have – Alexander Kovalenko announced the calculations – UNIAN

We are talking about the largest bases, but there are still a number of tanks at smaller bases that are not included in these calculations.

Next year, Russia still has about 2,800 tanks in reserve at storage bases, most of which are long-outdated models. Such calculations are given by military observer Alexander Kovalenko.

According to him, the largest central tank reserve bases (CBRT), judging by the number of remaining tanks, in Russia today are the following:

  • 769 CBRT – about 800 T-62 tanks are in storage;
  • 349 CBRT – about 800 T-72A and T-64 tanks are in storage;
  • 2456 CBRT – about 500 T-62, T-64, T-72U tanks are in storage.
  • 1311 CBRT – about 400 T-72B tanks are in storage;
  • 2544 CBRT – about 300 T-54/55 and T-62 tanks are in storage.
