How many Ukrainians died in the war: Zelenskyi named the number of casualties
Zelenskyi assured that Ukraine lost much fewer dead than the Western media reported.
Less than 80,000 people have died in the war against the Russian Federation since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an interview for Kyodo News, which was published by the Office of the President.
“I cannot share the numbers. Some people recently, it seems in the American press, reported that 80,000 Ukrainians died. I want to say that no – less. Much less. Much,” the head of state assured.
At the same time, the president noted that it is not known exactly how many Ukrainians died in the occupied territories.
