How many young people in Ukraine want to go abroad and for what reasons
Since the full-scale invasion, the mood of Ukrainians has changed.
As of September 2024, about 32% of citizens of Ukraine aged 16 to 35 said they would like to go and live abroad if they had the opportunity. At the same time, 45% answered that they intend to stay in Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the survey results of the “Rating” sociological group.
The main motivations of young people for going abroad were safety, the opportunity to earn more, as well as opportunities for a child.
According to the survey data, people from eastern regions, small towns, migrants, men, and young people aged 22-25 most often want to leave Ukraine.
