Selling prices in Ukraine for cucumbers began to decline again. Sellers are forced to take this step because the demand for this vegetable is very low, which is not typical for mid-December.
Analysts of the EastFruit project noted that greenhouse cucumbers go on sale at 80-110 UAH/kg ($1.92-2.64/kg), which is on average 11% cheaper than a week earlier.
It is noted that wholesale companies and retail chains are increasingly refusing large quantities of greenhouse cucumbers due to low sales rates. As a result, significant volumes of unsold products have accumulated in warehouses, the quality of which is deteriorating.
