Prices for these products remain the highest in the domestic market of Ukraine over the past 7 years.

This week, prices for greenhouse tomatoes increased in Ukraine. The reason for the increase in cost was the seasonal decrease in the supply of local tomatoes in greenhouse plants.

According to EastFruit project analysts, today tomatoes go on sale at 80-90 UAH/kg ($1.92-2.16/kg), which is on average 13% more expensive than at the end of the last working week.

It is noted that prices for these products remain the highest in the domestic market of Ukraine, at least in the last 7 years.

According to producers, the volumes of vegetable harvesting in local stationary plants still remain small. This created the preconditions for sellers to increase prices for existing volumes of products. At the same time, to compensate for the insufficient supply…
