How much does butter cost – an expert explained why prices have jumped – UNIAN
It is noted that the cost of butter depends on a number of factors.
The price of butter in Ukraine has increased by almost 80% compared to 2023. Ukrainians should not expect that this popular product will begin to fall in price in the near future.
Maxim Gopka, an analyst at the Ukrainian Club of Agricultural Business Association (UCAB), noted that now butter in supermarkets costs about 110-115 hryvnia.
“Butter prices have increased for a number of reasons, the main ones being the rise in price of raw milk by about 40% and power outages, due to which we have to use generators and spend money on fuel, which has also risen in price over the past few months. Also on the cost of butter impacted by increased energy costs and rising taxes,” the expert explained.
