Prices for some products have risen sharply in Ukraine. In particular, in stores you can see eggs for up to 100 hryvnias per dozen.

Economist and member of the NBU Council of Ukraine Vasyl Furman spoke about the reasons for the rise in prices for the National Telethon.

According to him, with the onset of cold weather and the economic situation in Ukraine, the cost of products will continue to rise.

Economist Oleg Pendzyn noted that the rise in food prices was influenced by several factors. Among them are the unfavorable weather conditions of the summer and the reduction of harvest volumes, as well as the increase in the cost of fodder and vegetables. Therefore, due to the fact that this year's harvest turned out to be small, it caused certain consequences, in the form of an increase in prices.
