In a conversation with SE, candidate of medical sciences, doctor Irina Yuzup said that dates are an excellent replacement for regular sugar, but provided that they are used infrequently, Sports.kz reports.
According to her, you can eat the product once a week or less, since the fruit is rich in fructose. In large quantities, dates can lead to hyperglycemia – increased blood sugar levels and insulin resistance. The risk of developing obesity and diabetes also increases.
