Hungary said that the introduction of American sanctions against Gazprombank jeopardizes the energy security of some Central European countries.
According to Bloomberg, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó is meeting in Istanbul with the energy ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Serbia. During his speech, he called the actions of the United States of America an “attack on the sovereignty” of these countries:
“Hungary is grateful to Turkey, Bulgaria and Serbia for providing very safe, very reliable and very stable transit. Together we will find a solution to ensure the security of our energy supplies.”
