An increase in the gas transportation tariff by 300% at once, which is being initiated by the National Energy Regulatory Commission, will lead to a drop in production volumes and the closure of enterprises. This was stated by the President of the OP “Ukrmetallurgprom” Alexander Kalenkov.

“We continue to have a situation where the tariffs of state monopolies, which should be set by an independent body, are biased and are not economically unreasonable. The consequences for the entire Ukrainian economy will be critical, and this applies not only to our industry – after all, the entire economy consumes gas,” Kalenkov noted.
