Iga Swiatek's match was interrupted for an unusual reason. Video – Tennis

The referee interrupted the match of the Polish tennis player Igi Schwiatek (2nd place in the ranking WTA) and Spanish Paula Badosa (14th place) on Billie Jean King Cupreports Sports.kz.

With the score 6:3, 6:7, 4:1 in favor of Szwiatek, a medical break was announced because one of the spectators in the stands lost consciousness. Video can be viewed below.

Let us recall that in October Iga Šwiętek lost her leadership in the WTA rankings to the Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka. This year, Schwiatek won tournaments in Doha (Qatar), Indian Wells (USA), Madrid (Spain), Rome (Italy). Then she became the winner of Roland Garros (France), after which she did not win any trophies until the end of the year.
