Champion UFCDricus Du Plessis reacted with humor to the prospect of a fight against the Chechen Khamzata Chimaevareports Sports.kz with reference to Sport24.ru.
The gym where Du Plessis trains has announced that the South African fighter is now making unusual demands on his sparring partners.
“Dricus demanded that all his teammates grow beards and shout before every sparring: ‘I’ll kill them all!’ So he is preparing for a potential defense of his title against Khamzat Chimaev,” the post reads.
Previously, American Sean Strickland was considered a contender for the next title fight against Du Plessis, but Chimaev broke into the list of candidates thanks to a confident victory over Robert Whittaker.
