Russia openly threatened to strike at Polish territory against the backdrop of today’s shelling of Ukraine. The corresponding statement at the briefing was made by the official speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova.
On November 13, a large air defense base, Aegis Ashore, was put into operation in the Polish city of Redzikowo on the Baltic Sea coast. It is part of a larger NATO missile defense shield designed to intercept incoming missiles. American ballistic missiles are also allegedly stationed at the base.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said Moscow could target this military base.
